Pricing

    • How do you sell your cutters and stamps for your price?
  • We sell our items at our prices for a few reasons. 1. We want to provide as many bakers with as many options as possible. 2. We want you to come back and buy more!
    •

    But seriously, we don’t want to keep any secrets here. 3D printing historically has had this cloud of ‘mystery’ behind it where people are either too worried to step into the fray or don’t have the time too. This has allowed people to charge high margins for items.

    For 3D cookie cutters you need to take account the following:

    • For us at Printing Gems we are using high performance 3D printers (Bambulab X1C) and this allows us to cut down the printing time. Please see GIFS below

    This is for a simple single cookie cutter and stamp design. As you go on to printing complete sets and complete designs the time increases significantly. We also use simple no frills packaging to reduce the cost for you as the customer! We love getting online shopping in the post and love seeing the fancy packaging, but as soon as we get the item out the packaging goes straight in the recycling. We also use our other 3D printing experiences to help us run our company at a lower margin to help you all get more of our great items!

              • Can you make me a design that I have seen online?
            • Yes and no, we do not want to steal any other Australian company designs. You can send us cutters as inspiration but we don’t want to just trace and resell their work. There are lots of items only that have permissions to be sold and those can be used
              •
                  • Is my custom cookie cutter my ‘own’ or will you sell it to others?
                • We sell our custom items at the same price as our regular items. Due to this we then reserve the right to sell custom design items to other customers. We don’t feel it is right to charge you a premium and then sell it to others later on. Basically you are getting a custom designed cutter for zero design costs!


                  • Cutters & Stamps

                    • What are your cookie cutters made from? Are they safe?
                  • All of our 3D printing items are made from PLA. PLA stands for Polylactic Acid. Our supplier states “We further conducted independent testing for Food Grade with the National Measurement Institute (Australian Government, Department of Industry, Innovation and Science) and also FDA (US Government Approved). Results both comply with the Australian and FDA standards (AS2070-1999 10/2011). The tests show that the filament is composed of safe ingredients that can come into contact with food products”

                        • How do I look after my cookie cutters?
                      • Handwashing is your friend! Our 3D printed items do not like high heat and should avoid any water over 50 degrees. We suggest cleaning them in warm water, using a soft brush to get into corners and crevices. Avoid dishwashers, microbes and soaking in hot water. Store them in a cool and dry place which is out of direct sunlight.

                        Cake Toppers

                          • What are the benefits of a 3d printed cake topper?
                        • Acrylic cake toppers can be very rigid and prone to snapping. 3D printed cake toppers generally have a slight flex to them which helps prevent any of those last minute accidents!

                          Shipping

                            • How long do orders take to process?
                          • All of our orders are intended to be dispatched within 1-3 business days after the order is placed. So if you place your order on Monday it will be posted on Thursday at the latest. If there are any issues with this we will email you with a timeframe

                                • What are my shipping options?
                              • We use Australia Post for all of our postage. We charge a flat rate for all items. $9.7 for standard with tracking and $12.7 for express with tracking

                                    • Can we do a local pick up?
                                  • Yes, we are located in Patterson Lakes in Victoria. The address will be sent once payment is made. We can organise a safe pick up at any time.

                                        • Are items tracked?
                                      • Yes, all of our items are sent with tracking, this does mean there isn’t a ‘cheap’ shipping option. But we never want you to have an item that just never arrives or isn’t locateable

                                            • Do you offer free shipping?
                                          • Yes we do! On orders over $60 we offer free standard shipping with tracking
